Spay/Neuter policy update:
A nonrefundable spay/neuter deposit will be added to a puppy or kitten's adoption fee should you want Lucky Dog to pay for the cost of spay/neuter surgery at one of our low-cost vet partners. Adopters must be able to provide transportation to and from the partner vets.
Maryland
Low-cost spay/neuter with income restrictions. Online application available
Low-cost spay/neuter with no residency or income requirements. Females over 90 lbs not accepted. A reduced rate voucher is also available to those with a household income under $45,000.
County residents can get low cost referrals to local veterinarians. For voicemails, please leave a message in box 6.
Low cost spay and neuter clinic. Do not perform surgeries on puppies and kittens under 4 months old or dogs over 60 pounds.

Certificates purchased at the Animal Welfare League are good for low cost spay/neuter at many veterinary clinics in the area. No restrictions on income.
Low-cost spay/neuter ($120-155 for dogs) to those with a household income under $40,000. Additional assistance possible if you can’t afford the reduced fee.
Residents of Northern Virginia can call to get a control number, which is used at local participating veterinarians for low cost spay/neuter. Registration forms available online.
