DEENA NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!
Name: Deena Best Guess for Breed: Terrier Mix
Best Guess for Age: 6 months as of February 2024 SEX: Female
Estimated Weight (puppies' weights change quickly!): 21.8 lbs as of 01/28/24
Gets Along With: Most puppies are in the prime of their socialization window and will do well with other dogs, cats and kids so long as they receive patience and proper training. In fact, Deena currently lives with kids in foster.
Currently Living at: D.C. area foster home
Special Adoption Considerations: Puppies under 6 months of age need to have multiple potty breaks/exercise throughout the day. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy.
Deena is Looking For: Hiya! I'm Deena! Me and my sisters, Dash, Dollop, Deanna, and Dolly, made the cutest white puppy pile, but it got crowded so we had to find our very own forever homes. All my sisters, have found the best forever homes and I'm so happy for them, but I'd really love to find mine too. I'm looking for a family that will take me on lots of walks so I can explore my neighborhood and make sure the neighbors remember how cute I am. I also want to make tons of doggie and human (and maybe even cat!) friends so I grow up to be a well socialized dog. I may be a puppy but even I know that is important. What do you say? Do you have room in your heart for little old me?
What My Foster Says About Me:Deena is an ANGEL and has a heart full of love and joy. She's great with my 3yo and 2yo.
But it's not just the kids who adore Deena—she's also a beloved cuddle buddy for us adults. After a long day, there's nothing better than sinking into the couch with Deena by our side.
Of course, Deena isn't all about snuggles—she's also a bundle of energy and loves to play. She is such an angelic puppy with a heart as pure as gold. Knowing Deena, it's hard to believe this sweet girl is still with us and waiting for her forever family.
Puppy Vetting Requirements: Lucky Puppies have had their age appropriate vaccines, but may not yet be “fully” vaccinated. It is the adopter’s responsibility to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time. Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, they are at greater risk for illness than an adult dog.
Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog!
TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this puppy is $485, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online bit.ly/adoptaluckydog
