TINKER NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name:  Tinker         Best Guess for Breed:  Terrier mix

Best Guess for Age:   7 months as of February 2024         SEX:   Female

Estimated Weight (puppies' weights change quickly!):    20 lbs as of 2/18/24

Gets Along With:   Because Tinker is shy, she needs to go to a home with a confident, welcoming resident dog. Due to her shy personality, we do not recommend her for a home with children under the age of 12. We have not seen Tinker with cats but she can be tested! Tinker is also afraid of men but is showing progress with her fosters.

Currently Living at:  DC area foster home

Tinker is Looking For:  Howdy! I'm Tinker, and I'm looking for my own humans. I'm just a baby who hasn't seen enough of the world and I want to do it by your side! I'd love to explore the neighborhood - the local parks - the mountains, and meet new pup and people pals along the way. And I want lots of snuggles and play time with you too. And I want to go to puppy school to learn to be the bestest girl!

I'm saving up all those puppy kisses and tail wags and adoring gazes for you. How about it? Am I the one for your home?

What My Foster Says About Me: Tinker is doing great! When she first arrived, she was very scared, but she warmed up within a few hours and is now my little shadow! Tinker does well in her crate - sleeps all night and goes in there for a nap or two throughout the day. Her potty training has been going well - she only has an accident when she's startled, but that is also improving! She is OK on a leash - Tinker gets excited and starts pulling, which isn't tough to handle since she's only 15lbs, but is something we're working on. She's a very lovable girl who just wants to cuddle up and nap next to you most of the day!

Puppy Vetting Requirements:        Lucky Puppies have had their age appropriate vaccines, but may not yet be “fully” vaccinated. It is the adopter’s responsibility to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time. Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, they are at greater risk for illness than an adult dog.

Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog!

TO ADOPT:       The adoption fee for this puppy is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter.
If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online bit.ly/adoptaluckydog
