SAMMY NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!

Come meet Sammy and other great adoptable dogs this Saturday (Feb. 24th) from 12-2 pm at Unleashed by Petco in Arlington (5400 Langston Blvd., Arlington, VA 22207)!

Name:  Sammy        Best Guess for Breed:   Beagle mix

Best Guess for Age:   1 year as of October 2023      SEX:   Male

Approximate Weight:   31 lbs

Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats but he can be tested. due to his shyness, Sammy cannot go to a home with children under the age of 12.

Special Considerations: Sammy is shy and needs to go to a home with a welcoming resident dog to show him the ropes. Because of his shy personality, we do not recommend him for a home with children under the age of 12.

Currently Living at:  DC area foster

Sammy is Looking For:   His forever home! This sweetie is pretty young and hasn't seen nearly enough of the world. He is eager to burn all that awesome young-dog energy on long sniffy walks (with that beagle nose!), romps in parks, and all the adventures his humans can dream up - and needs a little extra to get to the point where he feels confident trotting through the world that way. Opportunities to make new pup pals, see new places and experience new things at his pace, and training will all help build his braves! With love and patience, Sammy has already come a long way since leaving the shelter.

Most of all, he wants to know he's safe and loved and under his own roof - to know what life as a well-loved dog is. To help him gain more confidence Sammy needs a home where there is already another dog. You should not go to home with kids under the age of 12.

Sammy can’t wait to share all the adoring gazes, tail wags, and kisses he's been stockpiling. What do you say? Is Sammy the companion you've been seeking?

What My Foster Says About Me:  Sammy is super sweet! He was afraid of the stairs at first but now can go up and down. He would prefer to hang out with his people but can be lured in to his crate with a treat. Sammy needs  to work on house training. He does great riding in the car and playing with other dogs at the dog park. Sammy is filled with energy and can’t wait to find his forever home.

Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
