CHASITY NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name:   Chasity      Best Guess for Breed: Shepherd mix

Best Guess for Age: 3 years as of February 2024     SEX: Female

Approximate Weight:  45 lbs

Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen her with kids or cats but she can be tested.

Currently Living at: South Carolina shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get her freedom ride up here!

Special adoption considerations: Chasity is a truly Lucky Dog! She tested positive for Heartworm disease but has already been treated! Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites.  Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative. We are happy to talk more in depth about heartworm disease and treatment during the adoption counseling process.

Chasity is Looking For:  Her own humans! She was an amazing mama to her babies Logan, Lucas, and Lolly, and they're off to get their own families. Chasity is seeking a new family to lavish all that love and attention upon. She's also eager for long sniffy walks, romps in the park, and all the adventures her family can dream up.

Most of all, though, she wants to know she's safe and loved and under her own roof every time the sun goes down. In exchange, she offers adoring gazes and loyal companionship. What do you say? Is she the one you see by your side?

What My Foster Says About Me:  We will update this once she has arrived in the DC area and spent some time with her foster
