BUCK NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name:   Buck        Best Guess for Breed:   Collie mix

Best Guess for Age:   1 year as of Jan 2024        SEX:    male

Approximate Weight:    57lbs as of Feb 2024

Gets Along With:   Other dogs! We have not seen Buck with cats or kids but he can be tested!

Currently Living at:   South Carolina shelter - Buck needs a foster!

Special adoption considerations: Buck is a truly Lucky Dog! He tested positive for Heartworm disease but has already been treated! Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites.  Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative. We are happy to talk more in depth about heartworm disease and treatment during the adoption counseling process.

Buck is Looking For:    Some snuggles with his new best friend! Buck is a very sweet and handsome boy who is currently living at a shelter. He has a very soft, silky coat and the most adorable puppy face ever - he may be young but he's just a little baby!!! Buck is looking to start his new life in the DC area and can't wait to explore his new home with you. He is looking forward to plenty of walks, playing with new toys, and cuddling up on the couch for some movies!  He is just past his youngest puppy days, but he still has plenty of energy for whatever adventures you want to take him on. Could this little love bug be the newest member of your family?
